To modify this page, paste in the URL of the banner image. Get the banner image URL from clicking the clipboard icon in web graphics manager. Search for images in the "banner" category.

To modify the links on the right hand side, right click on the link and select "change link" from the popup context menu. The link will automatically format to have the arrow.

You may also use a submenu widget here instead of manual links.
To change the image in the gray row (beneath the text) right click on the image, and choose "change image" from the context menu.

All other text should be selected and retyped.

The VASTA Voice is the VASTA's quarterly Newsletter.

Since 1987, VASTA members have connected through this regular collection of letters, articles, announcements, and updates. The Newsletter provides a snapshot of VASTA's thriving community every three months with a letter from the President, special topics articles, committee updates, and member news.

We are now recruiting for a new Editor and Associate Editor for The VASTA Voice Newsletter! The deadline for applications is December 23rd, 5:00pm EST.

The Editor of the VASTA Voice coordinates the publishing of four electronic newsletters a year: March, June, September, and December. The role of Editor of The VASTA Voice is a one-year position.

The Associate Editor is responsible for assisting the input, formatting, and editing the contents of the newsletter and coordinating the Member News and Obituary (final issue only) sections of the newsletter. The role of Associate Editor of The VASTA Voice is a two-year position which includes a year as Associate Editor, followed by a year as Editor.

The monthly commitment is low for both editor positions. A likely start date is towards the end of January 2026 or early February 2026. Basic computing and editing skills are required and some very light coding is necessary. Training will be provided. Advanced coding and technical skills are not required. It's a great way to get involved with VASTA, and manageable alongside a full time job.

VASTA members are encouraged to share a short article, a report on a workshop you've attended, or your annual Member News. If you have an idea for an article or report, please write to our Editor, Sophie Scott.

As our industry shifts through this global transition, please share any successes you have conquered in your attempt to find balance. These achievements alongside past and/or upcoming projects are certain to serve as a historic indicator of our contribution to the industry, the art form, and humanity at large.

Watch for the call for Member News and Updates is sent by the editors the month before each publication.
