The purpose of the VASTA at ATHE team is to facilitate VASTA's presence at the annual Association of Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE) conference.
History of VASTA's connection to ATHE

Since 1986, the Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA) and the Association of Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE) have had an active relationship.

Every three years, the VASTA conference is held in the same city as the ATHE conference, facilitating the engagement and collaboration of the organizations' members. Additionally, VASTA maintains a Focus Group at ATHE through which VASTA members present workshops, panels, and papers on voice and speech related topics at the annual ATHE conference. The Conference Planners and Focus Group Coordinator for the VASTA Focus Group at ATHE serve as VASTA Officers and report to the VASTA Board of Directors.
